Located in the district of Barisal, Bangladesh, there are about 70 producers making products from beautiful 'water hyacinth'. Water hyacinth naturally grows in the waterways of Bangladesh, and is a pest as it clogs these waterways. However it is perfect for making beautiful paper and paper products such as cards, notebooks and albums. Biborton, originally set up by MCC in Bangladesh, now work through Prokritee in Dhaka.
